Hello guys. CooperxAnthonyAO3 here! On November 1st 2026, Cooper and I went to Maru, the korean restaurant at the downtown mall. We first met at Ginkgo's at 5pm. We talked to Rosie and Katie. Jackson was there. Anthony bought a book, Braiding Sweetgrass. We looked for a bus to take us to Maru, but there were none. We then walked for 30 minutes to theh restaurant. We saw homeless people and the wreckage left over from Halloween night. How could our peers do this to our home crag? We saw Max Bishop and Zoe (we can't believe that we remembered her name). Zoe had 2 books: The Sun Also Rises and book that we forgot. Both were very male manipulator pilled though. I commented on that but felt bad after. She seemed nice. At the downtown mall, we saw lots of happy children and families (and homeless people)-- Charlottesville has a homelessness issue. Very unfortunate.
Once we got to the Maru, we sat down across from each other. It was quite romantic. Anthony took out his laptop to begin notetaking for the blog. Here is what I wrote down:
Cooper ordered fried chicken and Anthony ordered kimchi jigae. Anthony's soup was very spicy. He was sweating profusely. My food was very tasty and I like chicken. Next to us was a father and his family (unclear). He stared at me and then eventually asked, "Are those like chicken nuggets?" I said yes. He then told his family that I had ordered chicken nuggets repeatedly. Yikes. Our waitress cycled our water very efficiently. Cooper drinks more water when he eats than I do. The food was savory. Cooper's has a sweet tang to it, with the texture alternating between soft and crunchy bits. Cooper loves chicken! He also ate it with rice. I taught him how to use chopsticks. How multicultural! My Kimchi Jiggae was very good--the broth was hot and spicy but the rice helped neutralize the acidity a tinge. The kimchi itself was excellent. However, I wish there was more protein; I paid for extra beef but there was not much extra beef. Tofu is disgusting! Sam Gibbs, how do you eat tofu. We talked about our feelings and politics. Also, about how I was clipped in the WUVA Media video about James Fishback visiting the university.
After the meal, we left. For some reason, our water got cycled as we were standing up, so we hit a calm luh drink. We then went to Chaps for ice cream. Again, many happy families were around. Cooper got 3 scoops of ice cream (fatass). Anthony got 1 scoop of Mint Chocolate Chip. When she asked, "Together or separate?" I responded, "Separate." But then I paused and said to Cooper, "But you'll pay for our anniversary coming up, right?" Cooper laughed, and the employee said, "He's guilt tripping you!" Implying that she really does think we are together. 😉
Lastly, we walked back and had a very pleasent conversation about life. I told Cooper about huzz. Thank you guys for tuning in to this week's CooperxAnthonyAO3 Food Blog! 11/1/2026
Cooper: 3.9 Chopsticks out of 5
Anthony: 4.3 chicken nuggets out of 5, BUT, I am subtracting 1 for the diarrhea that the food gave me. At the O'hill bathroom, the guy next to me in the stall was making weird noises and watching videos loudly, but he wasn't even pooping, just standing up. So 3.3 chicken nuggets.
Tune in next week for a special guest! (MYSTERY!!!!!!!) Hint though: her name starts with val and ends with entina.
